  3.                       Win 95/NT Part 2: The Installation

  7.  You should now have the ichat installer in an easily accessible place. If
  8.  not, click HERE. Below are the instructions for completing the installation
  9.  process.

  11.  Step 1
  12.       After you successfully install, you must press the Refresh
  13.       Plug-ins Button at the bottom of these instructions.
  14.  
  15.  Step 2
  16.       Locate the installer. It should be on your desktop or in a folder
  17.       which is easily accessible to you. Double click on the installer
  18.       which should look like this:

  21.       (If you have extensions disabled, the last three letters will be
  22.       missing.) This will launch the installation program. The
  23.       installation program will welcome you and present some
  24.       introductory information. Then, the installer will ask you to
  25.       verify that Netscape has been closed.

  27.  Step 3
  28.       Once you have verified that Netscape isn't running (it doesn't
  29.       matter if it is as long as you remember to refresh Netscape's
  30.       Plugins after running the installer), you will be presented with
  31.       the drive letter on which the installer has detected Netscape.
  32.       Please go with the recommended drive unless you are certain that
  33.       you have Netscape installed on a different drive. When you
  34.       continue from this point, the installer will search your hard
  35.       drive for all installations of Netscape and install the plug-in.

  37.       If the installer finds a Win 3.1 version of Netscape on your
  38.       system, it will notify you and request that you install the Win
  39.       3.1 version of the ichat plug-in or upgrade to a Win 95 version of
  40.       Netscape before installing the Win 95 version of the plug-in. For
  41.       more information in regard to this situation, please see the
  42.       Troubleshooting Guide.

  44.  Step 4
  45.       When the installer is finished, you will be prompted to read the
  46.       README file. Please read the file so you will understand the
  47.       License Agreement.
